Spring begins with frou frou irises in the front.
As a young gardener I would never have approved of such frilliness. But an aged heart is more tolerant. But if I start thinking well of petunias, someone should really stop me. Irises are leaps above petunias for sure. How could such dried knobs of root produce such silky things. Parrot petals from fleshy firm bulbs of tulips are more understandable.
