Back from San Diego

Tsunami

All part of a lovely Hawaii vacation is an early morning evacuation to higher ground. Since the waves were traveling from the unfortunate calamity of a Chilean earthquake, we had plenty of time to sleep, eat breakfast, walk on the beach one last time before having to evacuate.

I think everyone was in a curious mood- hoping for excitement but not tragedy. I decided spam musubi was the proper evacuation snack which I packed for getting away to volcano country.

Spring

I munched on some green beans today and felt spring was already here. I was quite regretful I was not ready with my tomato starts- just think.

Last year in snowy Germany, I met a guy named Thomas from work who said he wanted to see cows and cars flying around in a tornado. Last week he visited Oakland so I took him around town to see if we could find something. We got a bit lost in the Muir Woods seeing mushrooms left and right.
